Sadie Amara Calvano has become well-known for her character Violet Plunkett that she played in the CBS comedy Mom. An California native, Calvano was initially interested in gymnastics competition. But she decided later to pursue a career in acting. Her first appearance on screen was on the screen in 2010 with the CBS show 'NCIS. A year later her debut big screen appearance was in the biographical thriller production J Edgar. She was one of the top young actors on the scene throughout the decades. She was nominated in the year 2011 for the Young Artist Award in the category of the Best Performance by Young Actresses between 11 and 15 because of her performance in NCIS. In 2013, her performance as a special guest in Disney XD's comedy 'Kickin It' was nominated once more for a Young Artist Award. Calvano was an integral part of the cast of 'Mom' in its first three seasons and made several appearances in the fourth season. Calvano's performance in the role of a rising star on Mom brought her the Gracie Allen Award, which is given to outstanding female actresses.
